Objective:​​

To establish The Dental Shop as the unrivalled hub where dental professionals can seamlessly guide patients to discover and purchase recommended products, thereby creating a dynamic ecosystem that elevates the standard of oral care nationwide. Additionally, to empower dental practitioners by establishing an innovative revenue stream and fostering growth through The Dental Shop.

Challenge:​

The primary challenges addressed were:

  • Inefficient Communication: Dental practitioners often recommend products verbally or on paper, leading to low patient follow-through.

  • Lack of Compensation: Dentists were not compensated for product recommendations.

  • Patient Confusion: Patients faced difficulty and confusion when finding and purchasing recommended products due to the vast array of options and buying complexity.

Solution:​

To address these challenges, the following actions were taken:

  • Online Shop Creation: Developed an online store featuring standard dental products and partnered with boutique dental retailers to offer a comprehensive selection of products.

  • Streamlined Recommendations: Implemented a system where dentists could provide patients with email and printed recommendation lists, pre-loaded with products in an online cart ready for quick checkout.

  • Compensation for Dentists: Established a model for dentists who recommended products through the platform.

Specific Actions Taken:

  • Designed the e-commerce store using Figma for a user-friendly and visually appealing interface.

  • We built the website on Shopify to leverage its robust e-commerce capabilities.

  • Collaborated with two developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

  • Conducted market research to identify key products and reputable boutique retailers for partnerships.

  • Developed automated workflows for email and print recommendations, making the purchase process simple and efficient for patients.

  • Implemented tracking and analytics using Google Analytics to monitor user behavior and sales performance.
